Jimmy DeGrasso has been the driving force behind some of Rock music’s most powerful and influential artists. Shortly after initially moving to LA, he appeared on Ozzy Osbourne’s “Ultimate Sin” album and once that news broke, he’s been busy ever since. DeGrasso has recorded and played with Y&T, Suicidal Tendencies, Alice In Chains, Ronnie Montrose, Lita Ford, David Lee Roth and was a full-time member of Megadeth. In various times of his career, his performed and recorded with Rock legend Alice Cooper, appearing on his “Fistful Of Alice” live album. Known as the quintessential drumming pinch hitter, Jimmy has been frequently called on last minute gigs, due to his innate ability to not only learn the material quickly, but to master it like he’s been on the gig for years. Most recently, powerhouse rockers Dokken and Ratt have called on DeGrasso to provide the driving force they needed. He’s been featured at some of the world’s biggest drum festivals, including Modern Drummer Fest, Australia’s Ultimate Drummer’s Weekend and the UK’s Drummer Live. In December 2012, DeGrasso was announced as the drummer with Thin Lizzy spin-off band, Black Star Riders, Black Star Riders' first album All Hell Breaks Loose was released in May 2013.It was announced in early 2014 that he would temporarily be filling-in for Bobby Blotzer in RATT, and played with them on the Monsters of Rock cruise. He is the first drummer to have filled in for Blotzer, since he joined the band in 1982. He filled in for Blotzer again on Monsters of Rock Cruise in October 2016 before becoming official touring drummer in 2017.
